Description

FETUA (known as ASHG in rabbits) is a serum and bone matrix protein that binds to ligands of the TGF-β/BMP signaling pathway, thereby preventing the binding of TGF-β1 to cell surface receptors. This action has an important role in skeletal development and remodeling in rabbits. Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein is a cell adhesion protein that binds to immature cells of the granulocyte lineage and is encoded by the AHSG gene in rabbits. It is synthesized by hepatocytes and adipocytes and plays roles in various functions, including endocytosis, brain development, and bone tissue formation
