Description

Protein carbonylation is an important biological phenomenon in rabbits, and its formation is closely related to oxidative stress and plays an important role in physiological and pathological processes. Carbonylation levels can be effectively detected by immunologic methods, while antioxidant supplementation may be an effective intervention. Elevated levels of protein carbonyl (CO) groups have been detected in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, sepsis, chronic renal failure, and respiratory distress syndrome. The most common method for assessing protein oxidation involves measuring protein CO groups following their derivatization with DNPH
