Description
The Interleukin 17 family (IL17 family) comprises pro-inflammatory cystine knot cytokines, with Interleukin-17 (IL-17) being closely associated with osteoarthritis (OA). Research has demonstrated that injecting 10 ng of IL-17 into a rabbit's knee joint can induce OA in a manner similar to OA induced by Hulth's method. IL-17 has been shown to promote cartilage matrix degradation in arthritis models, particularly through synergistic effects with IL-6 and other pro-inflammatory factors. There is a lack of direct evidence supporting the specific function of IL-17 in rabbits
