The Cystine Uptake Assay Kit is a convenient fluorescence-based assay for studying cellular uptake of cystine via the system x_C^- cystine/glutamate transporter (xCT) without the use of radioisotopes. The cystine analog (CA) in this kit is taken up into cells via xCT, and the transported CA is specifically detected using the provided Fluorescent Probe and Reducing Agent.
