Description

This Mouse Interleukin-17c (IL-17c) ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative detection of mouse IL-17C in cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse IL-17C ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for IL-17C has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (E Coli, D17-Q194) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for IL-17C is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse IL-17C amount of sample captured in plate.
The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: IL17C, also known as CX2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IL17C gene. IL17C is mapped to 16q24.3. The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares the sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin 1 beta from a monocytic cell line. The expression of this cytokine was found to be restricted to activated T cells. IL17C is an essential autocrine cytokine regulating innate epithelial immune responses. It also plays an important role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory arthritis
