Description
This Human Angiopoietin-Related Protein 7 ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative detection of human ANGPTL7 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This human ANGPTL7 ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for ANGPTL7 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (Expression system for standard: CHO, Immunogen sequence: Q27-P346) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for ANGPTL7 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human ANGPTL7 amount of sample captured in plate.
The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Angiopoietin-related protein 7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ANGPTL7 gene. This gene is mapped to 1p36.22. Angiopoietin-like Protein 7 (ANGPTL7), also known as Corneal-Derived Transcript 6 (CDT6), is a secreted, 45-50 kDa glycoprotein member of the angiopoietin like family of molecules. Members of this protein family contain an N-terminal coiled coil domain and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain. ANGPTL7 is expressed in the corneal stroma, trabecular meshwork, and sclera. Its production is up regulated in trabecular meshwork cells by glucocorticoids and TGF-beta and in cartilage by TNF-alpha. ANGPTL7 expression is up regulated under conditions of increased ocular pressure
