Description
Strip-Immunoassay with antigens produced by recombinant techniques for the detection of IgG or IgM antibodies against Treponema pallidum
Treponema pallidum subsp. pallidum is the causative agent of syphilis, a chronic disease that occurs only in humans. The disease progresses in several stages. After a short propagation period at the site of infection (primary state), the pathogen spreads systemically (secondary state). After the decline of acute symptoms, Treponema pallidum can persist for years (latency stage) and cause later complications (tertiary syphilis and neurosyphilis).
The recomLine Treponema IgG/IgM assay uses T. pallidum-specific recombinant antigens Tp47, Tp17, Tp15, TmpA, Tp257 (Gpd), and Tp453 and provides an easy and a reliable assay for T. pallidum IgG and IgM antibody.
Includes 6 serologically relevant T. pallidum antigens.
Separate detection of IgG and IgM antibodies is possible.
Control band on every strip.
