Description
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Phenylethanolamine A antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Phenylethanolamine A specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated anti-antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between pre-coated Phenylethanolamine A and Phenylethanolamine A in standards or samples with the Phenylethanolamine A special antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Phenylethanolamine A in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background/Introduction: Phenylethanolamine A, named as Phenethylamine, can accelerate animal growth, decrease fat deposition, increase the amount of lean meat as well as Ractopamine. Phenylethanolamine A is used as a new type of Clenbuterol and widely used on animal production. The general symptoms are nausea, dizziness, asthenia and fibrillation after eating high-Phenylethanolamine A-food, even chromosome aberration and cancer. Thus Phenylethanolamine A is listed as "Prohibit material within animal and water” on No.1519 from Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. This kit is a detection product developed based on ELISA technology, with operation time as short as 50 min and a sensitivity of 0.125 ppb, and linear range from 0.125 ppb to 2 ppb
