Description
Principle of the Assay: Aspartate aminotransferase or Glutamic oxalacetic transaminase(AST/GOT) can catalyze the transformation of amino and keto between alpha- ketoglutaric acid and aspartic acid, glutamate andoxaloacetic acid can be generated. The oxaloacetic acid can occur decarboxylization in the reaction and produce pyroracemic acid. Pyroracemic acid react with 2,4- dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) and produce 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone, which can display brown in alkaline condition. Measure the OD values and calculate the enzyme activity according to the standard curve
