Description
Principle of the Assay: The Mouse CCL27 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse CCL27 in Cell Culture Supernates, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Mouse CCL27 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and CCL27 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Mouse CCL27 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CCL27 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.
Background: Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 27 (CCL27) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family, it is also known under the names IL-11 R-alpha-locus chemokine (ILC), Skinkine, ESkine and Cutaneous T-cell-attracting chemokine (CTACK). The human gene is mapped to 9p13.3. CCL27 is associated with homing of memory T lymphocytes to the skin, and plays a role in T cell-mediatedinflammation of the skin. And CCL27 is expressed in numerous tissues, including gonads, thymus, placenta and skin. It elicits its chemotacticeffects by binding to the chemokine receptor CCR10
