Large Economy (Plastic) Dissection Dishes: High-quality, tack, and bubble-free silicone-coated dissection dishes – now more affordable than ever! Although these plastic Petri dishes can be re-used many times, we still offer the standard line with glass dishes for users who want to be able to autoclave their dishes.
Deep Dissection Dishes: The Dissection Petri Dish is a high-quality Kimax glass dissection dish. It is made from a relatively deep Petri dish (50 mm Height), which is useful when working with larger specimens that need to be fully submerged in a liquid for proper handling. The bottom of the dissection dish is lined with several millimeters of Sylgard® material, the perfect medium for pinning out tissue specimens during delicate dissection procedures. The Sylgard® lining is free of air bubbles and is not sticky to the touch. These dishes are autoclavable, and withstand many months of regular usage. The Sylgard® material will seal itself when a dissecting pin is removed, providing a clean smooth bottom for some time.

Petri Dish Covers: - Clear PYREX® will withstand repeated sterilization (wet or dry)
- Beaded edges provide greater mechanical strength and equally space the side walls of the bottom and cover, reducing the capillary action of the condensed moisture
- They are not affected chemically or thermally by any of the methods commonly employed in laboratories where sterilization is routinely used.
- The covered dish is not airtight.
- The covers are marked in blue enamel and the bottoms in white enamel to make sorting easier.
- Bottoms also have a triangular enamel reference point for serial dilutions.
