Protein Simple, a Bio-Techne Brand
Director, R&D Science
Jessica is currently the Director of R&D Science at ProteinSimple. Prior to joining, she received her undergraduate degree in Biology-Chemistry from Scripps College and completed her Ph.D. thesis on RNA polymerase II elongation in the lab of Steve Buratowski at Harvard Medical School. Jessica then joined the Felsher lab at Stanford School of Medicine where she developed analysis methods for clinical samples on a prototype of the Simple Western NanoPro 1000 platform. Given her experience, she soon joined the ProteinSimple development team. During her eight years at ProteinSimple, she has held many roles including R&D, Applications, and Field Support, and has supported and led development of the Simple Western and iCE/Maurice platforms. When not thinking about science, you can find her wine tasting in California while planning her next Disney vacation, training for a half marathon, or cheering on the Red Sox.
