Christopher Tor Sauter, M.D.

Christopher Tor Sauter is a Hematology and Oncology fellow at the University of Pennsylvania where he works in the laboratory of Dr. Marco Ruella. He graduated from Colgate University in 2010 with a degree in molecular biology. He then worked in the laboratory of Dr. Onder Alpdogan at Thomas Jefferson University evaluating immunologic effects of haploidentical stem cell transplants in murine models. He graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 2017. During this time, he worked in the laboratory of Dr. Terry Fry at the National Cancer institute developing murine models to evaluate for hematologic toxicities of novel CAR T-cells. He then completed his internal medicine residency training and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His work in the Ruella lab focuses on T-cell cytotoxicity and overcoming mechanisms of tumor resistance.
