Y Diana Liu is a principal scientist at the Genentech-Roche Analytical Development Quality Control (ADQC) Department. As the Mass spectrometry (MS) Analytical Expert Team lead, Diana leads the development and automation of MS-related methods. She is also the editor-in-chief for an internal scientific journal called The ADQC Journal. Born in Qufu, China (the hometown of Confucius) and raised in an education-oriented family, Diana graduated with a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry at Purdue University. She is passionate about discovering new drugs and finding groundbreaking cures for patients. With over twenty years of experience in biopharma, she has published in many journals, such as Analytical Chemistry, JBC, Bioengineering, Protein Science, etc. Her publications include in vivo studies for biotherapeutics CQA assessments and in vitro predictive model development. She received the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) 2000 Outstanding Manuscript Award.
