David Colognori, Ph.D.

David Colognori received his BS/MS from Yale University in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, where he worked on RNA regulatory pathways in the lab of Dr. Joan Steitz. He then received his PhD from Harvard University in Genetics, where he studied the mechanism of X-chromosome inactivation by the lncRNA Xist in the lab of Dr. Jeannie Lee. He is currently a postdoc at University of California, Berkeley, where he is developing new CRISPR-based tools for the study of RNA in the lab of Dr. Jennifer Doudna.
