Description
The Gene Pulser Xcell™ main unit is part of the Gene Pulser Xcell system. The Gene Pulser Xcell system is a modular electroporation system that consists of a main unit, two accessory modules (the capacitance extender or CE module, and the pulse controller or PC module), and the ShockPod™ cuvette chamber.
Required for Operation The main unit requires either the CE module and/or the PC module for operation.
- CE module is recommended for electroporation of most eukaryotic cells, including mammalian cells and plant protoplasts
- PC module is recommended for electroporation of bacteria and fungi, as well as other applications where high-voltage pulses are applied to samples of small volume and high resistance
