A stilbene with diverse biological activities; reduces acifluorfen-induced photooxidative leakage in C. sativus cotyledon disks at 30 µg/ml; inhibits TPA-induced invasion and migration of HepG2 cells at 25 and 50 µM; inhibits production of NO and PGE2 in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages at 10 and 20 µM; activates PPARα in H4IIEC3 cells at 100 and 300 µM; decreases plasma glucose and LDL levels and increases plasma HDL levels in a hamster model of high-fat diet-induced hypercholesterolemia at 25 ppm in the diet
