Description
An AChE inhibitor (IC50 = 6.7 nM); selective for AChE over BChE (IC50 = 988 nM); inhibits AβO1-42-induced NO and TNF-α production in primary rat microglial cells at 0.1 and 1 µM); increases ACh levels in the cortex and hippocampus of aged rats at 1.5 mg/kg; reduces Mac-1 and GFAP protein expression in hippocampal dentate gyrus of an AβO1-42-induced mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease at 2 mg/kg; increases step-through latency in a passive avoidance test in the same model
