A propanolamine that potently, selectively, and non-competitively antagonizes the NR2B subunit of NMDA receptors (IC50 = 50 nM); does not inhibit other NMDA subunits, AMPA receptors, or kainate receptors; has neuroprotective effects in vitro and in vivo
