Description
A furanocoumarin with diverse biological activities; an antagonist of GABAA receptors (IC50 = 360 nM for the rat receptor); decreases LPS-induced secretion of PGE2 from primary rat peritoneal macrophages at 20 µM; accelerates wound healing in a mouse model of streptozotocin-induced diabetes when applied topically at 1.2 µg/g; increases the levels of mRNA encoding Sirt1 and decreases mRNA encoding Icam-1 in epithelium isolated from the same model
