PSMalpha3 is a peptide for manipulating DCs to become tolerogenic for DC vaccination strategies. PSMalpha3 penetrates and modulates human monocyte-derived DCs by altering the TLR2- or TLR4-induced maturation, inhibiting pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokine production and reducing antigen uptake.
