Pyrene-[13C3] is an isotope labelled compound of Pyrene. Pyrene occurs in coal tar. It is also obtained by the destructive hydrogenation of hard coal. It is found in wastewater in aquatic environments, and possesses genotoxic characteristics relating to estrogenic/androgenic, antiestrogenic and antiandrogenic activity
