BC-21 (NSC 109268) is a novel small molecule inhibitor that effectively inhibits the beta-catenin/Tcf4 interaction with Ki of 6.55uM; decreases the viability of beta-catenin overexpressing HCT116 colon cancer cells that harbor the beta-catenin mutation, and inhibits the clonogenic activity of these cells; inhibits Wnt/beta-catenin signaling and down-regulates c-Myc and cyclin D1 expression in HCT116 cells
