An inhibitor of T-type calcium channels (IC50s = 6.4, 18, and 7.5 nM for Cav3.1, Cav3.2, and Cav3.3, respectively); selective for T-type calcium channels over the L-type calcium channel Cav1.2 (IC50 = 2,410 nM); reduces the cumulative duration of absence-like seizures in rats at 10 mg/kg; reduces seizure severity in a rat model of audiogenic seizures at 100 mg/kg
