An isoquinoline alkaloid; active against S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, and E. coli (MICs = 250, 125, and 125 µg/ml, respectively), P. falciparum and E. histolytica (IC50s = 5.08 and 135 µM, respectively), and a panel of seven phytopathogenic fungi (IC50s = 15.2-42.4 µg/ml)
