Description
8-Chloroadenosine is an analog of adenosine. It is metabolized in vivo to 8-Chloro-ATP. It depletes ATP and inhibits tumor growth in hematological malignancies. It also inhibits tumor growth in lung and breast cancer cell lines. It incorporates into RNA during transcription and inhibits RNA synthesis. It mitotics catastrophe and induces G2/M cell cycle arrest in A549 and H1299 cells.
It is a useful research chemical and has cytotoxicity effects
