MONNA is a potent TMEM16A (Anoctamin-1) blocker (IC50 = 80 nM) that does not interact with anion channels such as CFTR, ClC-2 and bestrophin 1. MONNA induces vasorelaxation of rodent resistance arteries in presence or absence of chloride ions
