A noncompetitive inhibitor of 15-PGDH (Kapp = ~0.1 nM); increases PGE2 levels by two-fold in bone marrow, colon, lung, and liver in mice at 10 mg/kg; promotes hematopoietic recovery in a mouse model of bone marrow transplant at 5 mg/kg; reduces ulcer numbers and size and increases colonic crypt cell proliferation in a mouse model of DSS-induced colitis; induces articular cartilage regeneration in aged mice at 5 mg/kg; induces articular cartilage regeneration, improves mobility, and reduces pain in a catwalk gait analysis in young mice in a model of post-traumatic osteoarthritis
