Description
A sapogenin with anticancer and antibacterial activities; has cytotoxic activity in MT-4 cells (CC50 = 6.1 µM); inhibits the growth of A549, SKOV3, SK-Mel-2, P388, L121, and K562 cells (ED50s = 11-26 µM); inhibits the growth of H. pylori in vitro (MICs = 50-100 µg/ml)
