Progabide is a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) antagonist. It has agonistic activity for both the GABAA and GABAB receptors. It has antiepileptic activity and is commonly used in the treatment of epilepsy. It also has been used for many diseases, including schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, clinical depression and anxiety disorder with varying success
