ADCK5 belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, ADCK protein kinase family that contains a protein kinase domain. The function of this protein is not yet clear. It is not known if it has protein kinase activity and what type of substrates it would phosphorylate. An important paralog of this gene is ADCK1
