EMI Domain-Containing Protein 1 (EMID1) is a secreted protein. EMID1 contains one collagen-like domain and one EMI domain. Human EMID1 is synthesized as a 443 amino acid precursor that contains an 22 amino acid signal sequence and a 419 amino acid mature chain. EMID1 may be homo- or heteromers. Despite that EMU gene family suggest multiple functions during in embryogenesis, the exact function of EMID1 remains unknown
