Description
Turbo TEV protease is an enhanced form of the wild-type tobacco etch virus (TEV) Nuclear Inclusion a (NIa) protein, a cysteine protease that recognizes the cleavage site of E-Xaa-Xaa-Y -Xaa-Q-(G/S), and cleaves between Q and G or Q and S. Turbo TEV is non-autoinactivable, has robust activity at 4oC, room temperature or 37 oC, and has much higher sequence specificity than factor Xa, thrombin, or enterokinase. Turbo TEV protease can be used for removing purification tags such as is 6XHis, GST, MBP from fusion proteins
