Description
CD68 is a 110Kd transmembrane glycoprotein of unknown function highly expressed by human monocytes and tissue macrophages. CD68 is a member of the so-called lamp family of glycoproteins (lysosomal-associated membrane proteins). All of the members of this family are heavily glycosylated (55-65% of total mass) and they all have a short, nonglycosylated cytoplasmic tail
