Description
The CSF-1R is a member of the type III receptor tyrosine kinase family that includes other structurally related kinases such as Kit and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) -R. CSF-1 binding to the CSF-1R triggers dimerization, autophosphorylation, and activation of key signaling pathways including the PI-3 kinase/Akt and mitogen- activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways
