PDGFB is synthesizedmainly by megakaryocytes. It is stored in the alpha granules of plateletsfrom which it is released after cell activation of platelets. Platelets synthesizea mixture of the three possible isoforms (BB,AB,AA)while fibroblastsstimulated with EGF synthesize AA homodimers
