RGS4(regulator of G protein signaling 4) is a protein which regulates G protein signaling. Regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) family members are regulatory molecules that act as GTPase activating proteins (GAPs) for G alpha subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins. Heterotrimeric G proteins function to relay information from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors.
