Description
Human Factor XI Purified has been purified from human plasma. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 4 mM Sodium Acetate-HCl/0.15 M NaCI/pH 5.3, with a concentration of 1mg/ml and a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis (a single band of 160,000 daltons reduces to 80,000 daltons when incubated with 2-mercaptoethanol).
Factor XI is also called plasma thromboplastin antecedent, and is part of the coagulation cascade. Factor XI is activated into XIa by FXIIa, thrombin, and FXIa itself. Factor XI is part of the contact pathway
