Canine Interleukin-5 (IL-5) Recombinant has been recombinantly produced in yeast cells and purified using ion-exchange chromatography. This is a lyophilized powder with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
This product is endotoxin free, naturally folded, and post-translationally modified. This product can be used in cell culture, as an ELISA Standard for IL-5, and as a Western Blot Control. Produced by type-2 helper cells and mast cells, Interleukin-5 (IL-5) stimulates the growth of B cells, increases the secretion of immunoglobulins (especially IgA), and plays a role in mediating the activation of eosinophil (a type of white blood cell)
