Egg White Lysozyme Purified is useful as a commonly used enzyme for lysing gram positive bacteria and especially useful in lab setting for trying to collect the contents of the periplasm. The enzyme functions by attacking, hydrolyzing, and breaking glycosidic bonds in peptidoglycans. This is a lyophilized powder with a concentration of 5,000Units/mg dry weight.
