Description
Bovine Factor IXa Affinity Purified has been activated from highly purified Factor IX by Factor IXa. The resulting material is then further purified by gel filtration and immunoaffinity purification. This is a frozen liquid buffered in 50% glycerol/water (v/v), with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Factor IXa is part of the coagulation cascade, and is responsible for the activation of Factor X into Xa. This activity is enhanced when Factor IXa is working with its cofactor, VIIIa, in the presence of Calcium ions on a phospholipid surface
