Copine-1/CPNE1 protein is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that participates in the TNF-α receptor signaling pathway in a calcium-dependent manner. CPNE1 induces AKT-dependent neurite outgrowth and is also involved in TNF-α-induced repression of NF-κ-B transcription.
