MER tyrosine kinase (MERTK) is a transmembrane protein with transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase activity. MERTK has oncogenic properties and is often overexpressed or activated in various malignancies, activating several downstream signaling pathways including MAPK/ERK, PI3K/AKT, and JAK/STAT.
