A membrane-bound enzyme which supports anaerobic respiration on nitrate under anaerobic conditions and in the presence of nitrate. Contains the bicyclic form of the molybdo-bis(molybdopterin guanine dinucleotide) cofactor, iron-sulfur clusters and heme b.
