Interleukin 11 (IL-11) is a member of the gp130 family of cytokines. IL-11 functions to promote hematopoietic stem cell proliferation and megakaryocyte differentiation. IL-11 binds the IL-11Ralpha receptor to activate JAK downstream signaling.
