Description
Merozoite surface antigen (MSP) is a protein located on the surface of merozoites. MSP plays an important role in immune reactions. Different species of the protozoan parasite Plasmodium cause human malaria, including Plasmodium falciparum (Pf) and Plasmodium vivax (Pv). Pv MSP1 is expressed and purified from E. coli. The Pv MSP1 recombinant protein antigen can be used with the Pf MSP1 recombinant protein antigen MBS596166 as pairs for ELISA and rapid flow assays to detect Pf and Pv malaria antibodies
