Introduction: Phosphoribosyl Pyrophosphate Synthetase 2, also known as PRPS2 is a member of the ribose-phosphate pyrophosphokinase family. PRPS2 catalyzes the synthesis of 5-phosphoribosyl 1-pyrophosphate from ATP and D-ribose 5-phosphate. One of the diseases associated with PRPS2 is lesch-nyhan syndrome.
