Description
Chlamydia pneumonia, a human pathogen causing respiratory infections and probably contributing to the development of atherosclerosis and heart disease, is an obligate intracellular parasite which for replication needs to productively interact with and enter human cells. One fragment of major outer membrane protein (MOMP) of C. pneumonia is only recognized by C. pneumonia positive sera, and recombinant peptide from MOMP was expressed from E Coli as an antigen to test IgG and IgM to Chlamydia pneumonia
