Description
Over 40 million people are currently infected with HIV, and over 25 million deaths have been attributed to this virus infection since the beginning of the epidemic. HIV has two types, HIV-1 and HIV-2, HIV-1 is currently widespread, HIV-2 is majorly localized in Africa. HIV-1 has been classified into three subgroups O, M and N based on the sequences of gag and env genes. Mosaic HIV 1 and 2 antigen contains the sequence from C-terminal sequence of HIV1 envelope, N-terminal sequence of HIV gp41 and partial sequence of HIV2 gp36. The molecular weight is about 28kDa, a 6-His tag partner is linked at its N-terminus
