Description
Rab24 exists predominantly in the GTP state when expressed in cultured cells. The low GTPase activity is related to the presence of serine instead of glutamine at the position cognate to Ras Gln-61. Rab24 was found in the endoplasmic reticulum/cis-Golgi region and on late endosomal structures. The localization of Rab24 may indicate its involvement in autophagyrelated processes
